Now I’m sure all of you have heard of diet pills and how they are the secret to getting in shape super fast! Or maybe you heard that eating (insert magical food your friend swears by) you will drop pounds like a wrestler! Either way most of the time what is suggested either doesn’t work, or is really bad/unhealthy for you to take. But I will tell you the Real Secret! The one diet companies can’t afford you to know!
The secret to losing weight and becoming better at weight training, cardio and everything in life is consistency and perseverance. While diet pills and energy drinks (both of which I am firmly against), may give you energy; they can’t give you the consistency to stay with your work out plan or the perseverance needed to get back onto your weight loss plan when you fall off of it.
I personally have fallen off and needed to get back up. Right out of high school I was about 230 pounds; so going through college and many poor relationships my weight became a back burner issues and in the two and a half years since high school ended I climbed to weighing 295 pounds. Needless to say I had severe back pains and body issues. So I knew I needed to get into shape so two Physical Education classes and a complete revamped diet later; I am now at 212 pounds and loving life so much more!
